Ranking: Money in the Bank Ladder Matches

READ DESCRIPTION I literally had to go back and edit this video because of a typo; Chris Benoit was spelled Christ Benoit on the video. No joke. 12. This match was a pretty easy choice to start the list. With only five guys, one of them not even in the build for the match, it was obvious this MitB match wasn't going to be so good. Also consider who's in it; there's no spot monkey, which matches like these need. The best part of this match is when Jericho and Miz are fighting at the top; sure, they're no selling the punches, but that part where Jericho swings on the briefcase was awesome. It's not even really close for me; this is the only MitB match I didn't enjoy to some extent. 11. I had a tough time choosing between this and what's at #10, but I ended up going with WrestleMania XXVI at #11 because the winner was awful at the time and there wasn't really anything that stood-out in this match. The only things I remember from this one are Bourne's SSP off the ladder and Matt Hardy taking a pretty nasty bump on a ladder, and that took me a while. Maybe it's just my memory, although this match is still way better than #12. 10 people was way too much for this one; some of the guys in this match didn't really even do anything. 10. The build for this match was awesome, but the match itself doesn't even come close in comparison to the Smackdown MitB match earlier in the night. I do have to say that Mark Henry was really good in this match for a big man, just like he was at WrestleMania XXV. I also really liked how Bourne did the SSP to Orton right after he did the RKO, playing off what had happened in the weeks prior to this match. There were just some moments in this one where there wasn't much going on, which shouldn't happen in a MitB match. 9. If you watching the last 5-10 minutes of this match, you would have thought it was one of the best MitB matches, but this one starts off really slow. For the first 10-15 minutes of the match, you're waiting for something big to happen. Like I said though, this is at #9 because it gets really, really good near the end. There's also some really bad botches here; almost every MitB match has its fuck-ups, but these were some glaring botches. If you've seen the match, you know what I'm talking about. This also was a very predictable match; the only two people you thought had any chance to win were Ziggler and Rhodes. 8. Hardy getting suspended and subsequently taken out of this match really hurt it. Considering that bad misfortune, this one still turned out pretty good. Morrison for the first time really got to shine in this match, and Shelton Benjamin once again stole the show with one of the biggest bumps in MitB history. 7. It's been a while since I've seen this one, so I don't remember too much from it, although how could you forget Bourne's SSP off the ladder. That one-upped Benjamin's dive from WrestleMania XXV. I also remember being pretty annoyed by Miz's antics in this match; I felt like he really slowed down the match a lot at some points. The ending would have been awesome had the ladder not fell down, but instead it's just another botch. 6. Now I might seem like a hypocrite here, but I really liked the shit with Flair in this match. After what I just said about Miz in #7, that may sound hypocritical, but I don't know, it's just cooler when Flair does it, alright? This one doesn't really get talked about too much since it doesn't really have any memorable moments, but I think it's underrated. Benjamin's great again, and RVD probably had one of the best if not the best performance for a MitB winner. 5. When I first saw this match, for whatever reason I didn't like it much. I may sound crazy here, but I was pissed that Punk won again, which obviously now is just plain wrong. Henry again was great in this match, although I still wish he would have leaped off the top rope. Benjamin, for the last time, has a MitB moment when he dives off the top of a huge ladder onto everybody else in the match. 4. I had a really hard time choosing between this match and #5. This one had the most surprising winner out of any MitB matches. Who would have thought at the time that WWE would push Daniel Bryan? Sin Cara did a lot of things bad at this time, but his the way he sold getting powerbombed through the ladder by Sheamus has to be one of the best sell-jobs of all time. It might seem like Gabriel and Slater are just jobbers and they shouldn't have been in this match, but they actually do some pretty cool shit. 3. #3 might seem low for the first MitB match because it is a classic, but I feel 1 and 2 are just that good. Shelton Benjamin has had some other great ladder match performances, but in this match he was God-tier. Benoit also kicks some ass near the end, although unfortunately the headbutt off the ladder is kind-of ruined by now. I went past the description limit, so check the comments below for my reasoning for #1 and #2 (hah).
