Mpumalanga police are deploying police officers to tourist attraction sites, to ensure the safety of people visiting the province this festive season. The killing of a German tourist in Masoyi near Hazyview highlighted the vulnerability of tourists, especially at tourist attraction sites. Meanwhile, the two men accused of allegedly murdering a German tourist have been remanded in custody at the KaBokweni Magistrate's Court in Mpumalanga. The two appeared on camera since they haven't attended an identity parade. Jorg Schnarr was shot and killed on the Numbi road, near Kruger National Park early last month.
