Shadow puppets in school curriculum

With a history of over 2,000 years, shadow puppetry was once the most popular form of entertainment in many Chinese villages. But it gradually lost its appeal in modern times. To save the ancient art from extinction, a primary school in northwestern Gansu province decided to introduce it into the classroom.
