Celebrate Independence Day with this beautiful tri-coloured dish, which is an ode to the Indian flag. Ingredients: WHITE RICE- 1 TBSP GHEE 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS 2 GREEN CARDAMOM PODS 1 CINNAMON STICK 4 CLOVES 1/2 CUP ONIONS 1 CUP CASHEWS 2 CUPS COOKED RICE SALT TO TASTE GREEN RICE- 1 TBSP GHEE 1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS 5 CLOVES 2 GREEN CARDAMOM PODS 1 SPRIG CURRY LEAVES 1 CUP SPINACH PUREE 2 CUPS COOKED RICE SALT TO TASTE ORANGE RICE- 1 TBSP GHEE 1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS 1 CINNAMON STICK 1 TSP CURRY LEAVES 1 CUP TOMATO PUREE 2 CUPS RICE SALT TO TASTE Method: For white colour rice- Soak the rice in water for 1 hr and boil them / cook them. In a pan add ghee, cumin seeds, green cardamom, cinnamon sticks, clove, onion. Saute them for few min. Then add cashew, cooked rice (boiled rice), salt. Mix the well. Cook until done. For green rice In a pan add ghee, cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks, curry leaves spinach puree, 2 cup cured rice, salt. Mix it well and let it cook until done. For Orange rice: In a pan add ghee, cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks, chilli flakes, tomato puree, 2 cup cured rice, salt.
