A 9-member bench appointed by the Supreme Court will now examine if the constitution of India guarantees your basic right to privacy. This comes after centre quoted an 8-judge bench ruling from 1954 and a 6-judge bench ruling from 1962 which had ruled that right to privacy is not a fundamental right.
