Placing LAST Place and Still Winning in Knockout Tour?

Suggested by non other than twitch.tv/alienpi314 himself, I attempted the most nerve wracking challenge in Mario Kart World: winning Knockout Tour while placing as LOW as possible at every single checkpoint. My goal? Place 20th at the first checkpoint, 16th at the second, 12th at the third, and so on, basically surviving in the FINAL SPOT every single round before clutching the win at the end.
