SourFest 2016 at Stone Brewing

My first real assignment as a WOB Drink It Intern took me all the way across the country to SourFest at Stone Brewing - an amazing event held in their beautiful outdoor garden space in celebration of the uniqueness of sour beers and the people who love them. The supply of beers available filled a 7 page booklet, and would certainly be insurmountable, so attendees would really have to decide which beers they’d try and which they’d forgo. The most popular brews ran out quickly, and by the end of the event, many a beer had the dreaded slash through it. I had the pleasure of tasting a gamut of flavors that day, from the light, fruity and bubbly, to the funky and “horsey”. I also had the pleasure of speaking to a gamut of people! Each of whom had different reasons behind their love of sours.
