Nissan – Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) Systems

The Lane Departure Warning, LDW and Intelligent Lane Intervention, I-LI Systems, are activated at speeds of approximately 60 kilometers per hour and above and only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road. These systems help monitor the lane markers on the traveling lane, using a camera unit located above the inside mirror. The LDW system is activated when the camera detects that the vehicle is approaching the left, or the right side of the traveling lane. A blinking Lane Departure Warning indicator light appears in the instrument panel and the steering wheel will vibrate to help alert the driver. The I-LI system is activated by the same conditions as the LDW system. In addition to helping alert the driver with the Lane Departure Warning indicator light in the instrument panel and a steering wheel vibration, the system automatically applies brief brake force, to help the driver return the vehicle back to the center of the traveling lane. To turn on the I-LI system, push the ProPILOT Assist switch on the steering wheel, push the ProPILOT Assist switch again to turn off the I-LI system. Every time the power switch is placed in the on position, the I-LI system must be turned on with the ProPILOT Assist switch on the steering wheel. To enable or disable the LDW or I-LI, press the right or left arrow button until Settings displays. Press the up or down arrow button to select Driver Assistance and press the OK button. Now, select Lane and press the OK button. Then, highlight Lane Departure Warning or Lane Departure Prevention and press the OK button to toggle the system on or off. Please see your Owner’s Manual for important safety information, system limitations, and additional operating and feature information.
