Hilo Medical Center Stroke Activation Information

Hilo Medical Center's Stroke Program was developed to educate patients and their loved ones to identify the first signs of stroke and to response quickly by calling 9-1-1. This reenactment shows the hospital's stroke activation system after emergency medical services brings the stroke patient to the Emergency Department.
