Irish Politicians Face Russian Ban: Calls for Russian Ambassador to Be Expelled | The Tonight Show

Russia banned entry to more than 50 other top officials, in response to Western sanctions over Ukraine. Among those listed are Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar, Mr Coveney and Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe, Russian Ambassador to Ireland Yuri Filatov has been called to Iveagh House today to discuss this. Many are calling for the expulsion of Yuri Filatov, including Róisín Shortall: "We need to think about closing the Embassy." Barry Cowen reacts to this by saying: "This sort of play-acting is unprecedented. It serves no purpose and we won't be deterred in our efforts to help and support the Ukrainian people."
