How to make simple and delicious shinwari karahi at home

Shinwari karahi Shinwari is a little district in Afghanistan and this seems to be the way they cook their chicken. The first time I tried, I was really pessimistic as there are hardly any ingredients involved but I would vouch for the end result – lip-smacking, to say the least! I loved the recipe so much that I make meat karahi even paneer karahi exactly this way and loved it. Ingredients: 500 gram beef or mutton 1 tbsp Lemon juice Salt to taste 1 tbsp crushed Black pepper 2 Tbsp Ginger (julienne) 4-5 Green chilies 4-5 Tomatoes 1 tbsp Garlic chopped 1/2 Tbsp ginger chopped 2 Tbsp clarified butter 1 Tbsp butter Method: In a pan heat clarified butter once it’s hot add garlic and ginger and cook until golden brown. Add meat with water and let it cook until tender or pressure cook meat 80% before hand. Add and tomatoes, green chilies and cover the lid and let it simmer on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes. Take the skins off the tomatoes and crush the tomatoes. When all the water evaporates mix it well and add salt, black pepper and Julian ginger. Let it cook for few more seconds.
