Bach - Concerto in C major BWV 595 - Te Lindert | Netherlands Bach Society

Bach - Concerto in C major BWV 595 - Te Lindert | Netherlands Bach Society

In the Concerto in C major, performed by Elske te Lindert for All of Bach, Bach used a work by his young patron, Duke Johann Ernst of Weimar, as training in the Italian style. The young prince had studied in the Netherlands, which housed one of the most important music printing presses of the world. There, he bought things like a copy of Vivaldi’s brand-new L’Estro Armonico, which Bach was later to use for his organ concertos BWV 594 and 596. Recorded for the project All of Bach on October 1st 2015 at the Bovenkerk, Kampen.
