RIDGE RYDER 25L EVAKOOL ICE BOX - Unbiased review An icebox is a good alternative to a fridge if you need to keep your food and drinks colder for long compared to an esky (cooler) mainly because of its better insulation. We tested this 25L Ridge Ryder Evakool ice box in a couple of recent camping trips. This video shows you how good it kept the inside of the ice box frozen for a long period of time. There is a clip I inserted in this video from our previous camping trip showing you the contents after 4 days in the ice box including a lot of opening and closing of the ice box. I would highly recommend getting an ice box if you plan to keep meat and other food items with you during your camping trips. Depending on the number of times you open your ice box, the number of frozen items in it and the outside temperature, you can expect anywhere from 3 and up to 5 days out of it.
