Police say a Cleveland woman shoots her boyfriend and texts her friends spreading the news. Cleveland police came out to 1908 Greenwood avenue on Sunday afternoon when a neighbor reported Alina Sherlin and her boyfriend, Robert D. Julian were arguing in the driveway. Officers actually responded here about 6:43 p.m, but when they came here it was just a verbal between the two parties, says Officer Evie West with the Cleveland Police Department. Both parties told police that they were okay and officers left. But just a few hours later, calls of a more intense nature began to pour in. There were some callers that had called in to the 911 Communications Center. An Alina Sherlin had actually sent some texts letting them know that she had just shot and killed her boyfriend Robert Julian, says West. Since officers had no other way of verifying that information, they decided to conduct a welfare check at the home. When they talked to Ms. Sherlin and told her why they were there, she refused to let them gain any kind of entry into the home, adds West. While Sherlin wouldn't let police through the front door, officers decided to walk around the back to peek in the windows.
