The impact from overturning the federal right to abortion is still spreading across the country with legal battles unfolding in numerous states. In Mississippi, abortion is illegal, although few people know the state's attorney general also paved the way for the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark decision. "The power of prayer, for us, kept us going," said Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch. The reason abortion rights went back to the states following the fall of Roe could be directly tied to one woman: Fitch.
