VANCOUVER -- In the wake of a wild 19-12 victory over the Montreal Alouettes at BC Place on Friday night, the Lions had more than just a victory to celebrate as running back Martell Mallett established a new team record for rushing yards in a game with 213. Rookie running back Martell Mallet enjoyed a dominating performance with a total of 21 carries for 213 yards, breaking Sean Millingtons 212-yard record set in 1997 versus the Saskatchewan Roughriders. It was a night of firsts for the Arkansas Pine-Bluff grad who rushed for more than 100 yards for the first time in his CFL career and also hauled in a touchdown pass late in the second quarter to draw the Lions even at seven.
