I've seen it. The real you, trapped behind barriers you don't know how to break. Surrounded by your demons that you can't help but embrace. You cry and scream on the inside to be let out, I can see it in your eyes, but they're too strong. Though you lash out to those that care for you, I see inside a scared little girl that wants nothing more to be rid of these demons forever. And though my skin is scorched from the fires of heartbreak and betrayal, I'll still press on... ....because it'll be worth it.... A day will come where, instead of misery's cold touch, you'll feel the warmth of the sun on your smiling face, as loved ones surround you and show you the love you've finally earned. That day will come. But not today. Today you sit, alone, meditating on the things you've done, the people you've hurt, and dealing with the consequences of your actions. Meanwhile, the real you is trapped inside, desperately trying to break out and live life, but the cold, heartless shell on the outside won't let it. Soon enough, princess, I'll save you.
