SUBMISSION AND SURRENDER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT; SUNDAY SECOND SERVICE | MAKE JESUS FAMOUS

SUBMISSION AND SURRENDER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT Sunday, 21st September 2025 – First Service “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20 The Christian life is not about trying harder but about surrendering deeper. Paul reminds us that our old life was crucified with Christ, and the life we now live is Christ living through us. This truth is the foundation of true Christian living — we are vessels through which the Holy Spirit expresses the life of Christ. Before ascending, Jesus instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they received the Promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4). Why? Because the assignment He gave them could not be fulfilled in human strength but only in divine strength. Without the Spirit, they would labor in vain; with Him, they carried the power and presence of Christ wherever they went. In the same way, when we try to live the Christian life by our own effort, we soon grow weary and frustrated. God’s standard is far beyond human ability. But when we acknowledge our weakness and yield to the Spirit, He supplies grace and strength. In surrender, our lives become testimonies of divine power, and Christ is fully expressed through us. Surrender is not a sign of weakness — it is the place of victory. The Christian life is not about imitating Jesus outwardly but expressing His life inwardly. Imitation is external performance; expression flows from surrender to the Spirit who dwells within us. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit apart from the vine, we cannot live victoriously apart from abiding in Christ. When we truly submit, our lives become living expressions of Jesus — His power in weakness, His fragrance in trials, and His love in action. This is the secret to victorious Christian living: “Not I, but Christ.” Pearl of Wisdom: The Christian life is not lived by effort but by surrender — less of you, more of Him. The call is not to strive harder but to yield deeper. Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to surrender fully to You. Teach me to walk in Your power, not my own strength. May Christ be expressed through me, and may my life be a testimony of Your grace. Amen. Further Study Philippians 4:13 John 3:30 John 15:1–5 Zechariah 4:6 STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED.
