Bob Dylan In Concert - The Orpheum Theatre Boston MA 8 October 1994

Thanks to the the taper and whoever else is responsible for the form in which this material has reached us. Another gig from 1994... Having uploaded a number of songs from it, once again I realise that the gig deserves to be heard in its entirety. The sound is excellent with strong performances on many songs. It’s three months after the Warsaw gig and things are getting very smooth indeed. It’s about five weeks before the Unplugged recording sessions on 17th & 18th November and it shows. I hope you enjoy it. The concert information below comes from the excellent bjorner.com http://www.bjorner.com/DSN15420%20-%2... Concert # 613 of The Never-Ending Tour. Concert # 6 of the 1994 US Fall Tour. 1994 concert # 77. Concert # 157 with the 9th Never-Ending Tour Band: Bob Dylan (vocals & guitar) Bucky Baxter (pedal steel guitar & electric slide guitar) John Jackson (guitar) Tony Garnier (bass) Winston Watson (drums & percussion). 7-9, 15 acoustic with the band. 10 starts acoustic and ends electric. 4, 5, 7, 9, 15 Bob Dylan (harmonica). This is how bjorner.com summarises 1994: “This year Bob Dylan decided to surprise us by NOT surprising us. Same procedure as last year. Same band, same songs, same show format. And, it has to be said, same high quality or even higher than 1993. In fact in terms of Bob Dylan's own performance, this has to be the best year since 1988. Still there were some disappointments. No song debuts, excluding one performance of Lady Came From Baltimore by Tim Hardin. Not until the MTV Unplugged sessions was Dignity performed although it was done at various soundchecks during the year. And why no songs from World Gone Wrong? Other noteworthy happenings: the Cooper & Lybrand deal [use of The Times They Are A-Changin' (Richie Havens cover) in a TV ad], the Great Music Experience performance in Nara, Japan, The Woodstock '94 performance and finally MTV Unplugged.”
