Love love love this game....big fan of Far Cry 2! Giant sandbox, tons of missions, tons of firefights and amazing graphics. Probably one of the best displays of pyrotechnic visuals in any game Ive ever played even by todays standards. Just a few things to know about my FarCry 2 gameplay style: 1-I love buying and upgrading weapons so I am a total diamond whore, I will get all obsessive compulsive about obtaining them via missions/tower quests and those briefcases... 2- I have a shitty sense of direction (like fuckin horrible) and tend to get lost in these big ass sandboxes...so maps and all I will be driving/swimming/running in circles OFTEN.... 3- One of the things I found most challenging about this game is spotting where my attackers are. The crazy environment hides them well (plus maybe my eyes are shot) so if you see me getting shot at and not firing back its because I cant tell where those fuckers are.....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED Hope you enjoy ;) *********************************************************** In the role of a mercenary, Far Cry 2 players find themselves in Africa. They are to bring down an arms dealer known only as "the Jackal," who has been thriving on tribal warfare. Suitably equipped but mostly alone, players are left to themselves to decide exactly what needs to be done and how to do it. Instead of a linear storyline or scripted quests, the game presents a framework of places and people who are designed to act according to their own natures, and react according to the way the player deals with them. The game's heroes are a group of loosely associated "buddies." Players can choose to play as any one of the characters in this group, and the others will be placed in the game as friendly NPCs. Friends and enemies alike, all NPCs in the game are designed to act and react naturally in their current circumstances. Enemy guards tend to their duties and make decisions dynamically. Allies decide to become allies on their own terms. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
