Inspiration to Practice Mandolin | "Zen" Mandolin Scales and Arpeggios Improv | Isaac Eicher

Inspiration to Practice Mandolin | "Zen" Mandolin Scales and Arpeggios Improv | Isaac Eicher

In this video I demonstrate an improvisational exercise you can do to practice many things: scales and arpeggios, tone, pick attack, left hand intonation, fluidity, etc., all while maintaining a constant stream of notes. I call this a "zen" mandolin practice session, because for me it's very meditative, meaning that I close my eyes and give the exercise my full attention, focusing on technique and ideas. Try it out for yourself! If you haven't already, you can check out my website https://www.isaaceichermusic.com and see what's going on over there.
