Commissioner General of Prisons calls for long serving officers to be promoted

The Commissioner General of Prisons, Johnson Byabashaija has urged the Internal Minister Affairs to address the delay in promoting deserving prison warders. It has emerged that warders who have served for more than seven years have remained in the same rank contrary to the prison’s standing orders. Byabashaija made the request at Isimba prison in Masindi district while meeting Minister Rose Akol.
