the FP6 MOET project (More Open Electrical Technologies) was charged with establishing a new industrial standard for the electrical design system of commercial aircraft, usable by the business and regional aircraft and rotorcraft as well. MOET comprised 46 companies (13 being SMEs) and 15 Research Centres or Universities from 14 European countries. The project was coordinated by AIRBUS and partially funded by the European Union, through FP6. MOET had its official launch at AIRBUS France on July 6, 2006
