Syria Crisis: Over 10 Years On – Why Humanitarian Aid Is Still Vital

It's more than a decade since the crisis began, yet Syria remains one of the world’s most complex humanitarian emergencies. Years of conflict, natural disasters, and mass displacement have left millions of people in need of critical, ongoing support. Concern Worldwide, with continued funding from the European Commission – ECHO (@EUcrisisresponse), has been on the ground in Syria since 2013—when the world first witnessed the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe. And we haven’t left. While global headlines may move on, we haven’t. Our teams are still there, working side-by-side with communities every day, delivering life-saving humanitarian aid and long-term recovery programmes. We focus on: ✅ Clean water and sanitation (WASH) ✅ Safe shelter for displaced families ✅ Education and protection for children ✅ Support for communities rebuilding their lives This crisis isn’t over. The people of Syria still need us—and you. Every family we reach is a reminder that hope can survive even the darkest times. But we need the world to keep caring, keep watching, and keep supporting. Please watch, share, and help us remind the world: Syria still matters. #Syria #Middleeast #Ngo #Humanitarianaid #News #Eu #SyriaCrisis #ConcernWorldwide #HumanitarianSupport #HelpSyria #NGOImpact #ECHO #MiddleEastRelief #RefugeeSupport #WASHinEmergencies #DisplacedFamilies #StandWithSyria #RebuildHope #LongTermAid #NotForgotten #TogetherForSyria To learn more about Concern's work, visit: http://www.concern.net Subscribe to Concern here: https://shorturl.at/ok4fG Follow Concern here: Facebook:    / concernworldwide   X: https://x.com/concern Instagram:    / concernworldwide   LinkedIn:   / concern-worldwide   Tiktok:    / concernworldwide   Across 25 of the world’s poorest countries, reaching 30 million people each year, Concern Worldwide is a leading Irish humanitarian organisation that strives to end extreme poverty, whatever it takes.  We deliver life-saving and life-changing interventions to the world's most vulnerable people.
