VBS Treasured Skit Day 3! Faith and Dr. Digginstone's "Bananas"

You are Treasured by God! GOD LOVES YOU! GOD COMFORTS YOU! These skits are based on Vacation Bible School curriculum of LifeTreeKids GroupPublishing.com – called: “VBS Treasured.” However, these skits have been changed by my twin sister and I to add in the Bible focus points and more truth of salvation and Jesus and use more kid-friendly humor. We added a progression to Dr. Diggingstone’s character to show them coming to know and trust Jesus. We pray these rewrites lift up JESUS' Name and salvation first and foremost and encourage kids to grow in opening their heart to the need for a Savior. We felt that the Dr. Diggingstone’s character is rather static in the original script, and saw the potential for an example of how God's free gift of Salvation through Jesus could transform lives through having Dr. DD come to trust in JESUS personally! These should work out to be the same length as the originals since we edited some things out and added many changes so that each segment still fits into about three minutes each. So should work with the original “VBS Treasured” curriculum time-frame. Prayerfully these skits will be used by God the Spirit to speak to the hearts of children and families. We trust that someone will be drawn closer to a relationship with God our Savior-Jesus! If anyone wants to use these ideas or be inspired by them to make it more applicable and meaningful than the original skits provided by the VBS curriculum, please do so or start with them and change them to make theme your own. We’d love you to use any or all of these ideas! All we ask is that you please use these skits in a context of God's Word and Truth and for the glory of God, and for sharing the truth of the Gospel of God's Salvation; that is: The amazing reality of our Almighty Creator God becoming a human baby – Jesus – to live a perfect life and save us from our sin and hopelessness, by willing dying on a cross for the punishment of all sin of all time. He faced separation from God so we would never have to. Jesus as fully man and fully God, rose in victory, defeating death and providing the only way to a restored relationship with God. All who repent and believe in Jesus are forgiven under His righteousness and have God the Spirit dwelling in them to give them power to live and love for the Lord – the Lord who offers the certain hope of glorious eternal life in heaven after this life ends for all who repent and believe in JESUS! And Maranatha! Jesus is coming again! Note that we changed Dr Diggingstone to have a nickname of DD. Of course you could pick anything or perhaps call him or her “Daryl” or “Dig.” We nicknamed the character because we thought Doctor was a bit distant for kids to relate to as children might think of medical doctors. We named the “leader” character who knows Jesus as “Faith,” but you can replace “Faith” with any name of a leader! We had the DD character be southern with a drawl to make it distinct from the leader, “Faith.” The “Faith” character could be a pirate, or British, or have an Aussie accent. This would work great.
