Letter signed warning about threat posed to humanity by AI

Hundreds of artificial intelligence scientists and tech executives have signed an open letter warning about the threat posed to humanity by AI. ChatGPT creator Sam Altman and 38 members of Google’s DeepMind AI unit were some of the groups behind the letter. “They signed a statement saying that artificial intelligence could one day lead to humanity's extinction,” Center for AI Safety Executive Director Dan Hendrycks told Sky News Australia.
