पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा (UNGA) को संबोधित करते हुए कश्मीर से लेकर भारत के अल्पसंख्यकों का मुद्दा उठाया. भारत की तरफ से भी संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा में पाकिस्तान और उनके प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ को करारा जवाब दिया गया . भारतीय राजनयिक मिजिटो विनिटो ने कहा कि पाकिस्तान को भारत पर झूठे आरोप लगाने से पहले आत्मनिरीक्षण कर लेना चाहिए. उन्होंने आगे कहा कि पाकिस्तान को जम्मू-कश्मीर पर दावा करने के बजाय 'सीमा पार आतंकवाद' को रोकना चाहिए.
