This weekend we will be having Advent Lessons & Carols with Holy Communion. Lessons and Carols has been an Anglican tradition for more than 100 years. King’s College, Cambridge has the most famous one, but it is used in many parishes. We are using Lessons and Carols in the place of the first half of the Eucharist. It will be followed by the confession, the Peace, and then continue with Holy Communion. The readings span the Old and New Testaments, from prophesies to accounts in 3 different Gospels: Isaiah 11:1-9, Isaiah 40:1-11, Isaiah 7:10-15, Luke 1:26-38, Matthew 1:18-23, and Mark 1:1-15 The Bible readings may be found on https://www.saintalbans.jp/sundayread... Service booklets are currently WIP, but will be posted for downloading sometime Saturday, on https://www.saintalbans.jp/service-bo...
