I did NOT grow up on a farm and milk cows were definitely not even in the plan, until I milked one and felt the call to get my own! This is my story of how I found my first Jersey Dairy Cow, Fannie, and how much I love the daily process and benefits of fresh milk and cream at home. We've adapted a few things, and learned a lot of things. These are all the pros and cons of adding a cow to your life so that you know if this is right for you. These are all the things I wish I would have known before buying my own and all the rewards of raising our own dairy cows on our homestead.
