|----------------- Run Information -----------------| Any% is to beat the fastest game possible. As official rules aren't up yet, we're still waiting for a solution for the unskippable dialogue-choice based cutscenes. This speedrun speeds them up by 20x so it's not a drag. We also start the timer after the first cutscene, as it's 4 minutes of inconsequential choices. We look to use 5/7 guns possible for this speedrun. The other two are very strong, but do not justify the timeloss going to go pick them up. There aren't many glitches or skips yet as this is a brand-new game, however I do use two shortcuts: 1) Shooting through two doors so it breaks the board on the other side (this saves about a minute or two) 2) Boost on textures to skip a fight (this saves not only time, but health and ammo resources). It's a very new run, but still the fastest time logged as of right now. Probably (?) will do hitless hard mode challenges, but we'll see. Yes, audio is bugged and loops twice oddly. |----------------- Key Fight Mechanics-----------------| Gameplay Mechanics |-- Upgrades --| Inventory - as much as possible Pyre - crafting 2x/2x slots Dagger - we prefer this over the Sword (base handgun) b/c of the fire rate, base damage, and bloom Since this is a speedrun and we don't take the time to loot every currency, we have to rely on the strength of Pyres (this game's flame grenades) to not only damage the enemies, but also to weaken them to our gunfire. |-- How Fights Should Look --| Stage 1 Orphans (headless) - 2 dagger headshots Stage 2 Orphans (double head) - 3 dagger headshots Stage 3 Orphans (spikes) - 5 dagger headshots Stage 4 Orphans (fully armored, spikes) - I mean at this point you're f-d pretty hard. You need flame rounds to penetrate them.
