How To | Cache Buster | (SAP Edition)

When you upgrade Neptune DXP - SAP Edition, new versions of JavaScript, CSS and other files should be loaded the first time your end users open a Neptune launchpad or Neptune application after the upgrade. Previously we've changed the filename to bust the caching of files. Now we add a URL parameter instead. This makes it much easier for us to maintain all the static files that go into the Neptune DXP. Static Neptune DXP files will by default get the Neptune version number as cache buster parameter. Application CSS files will get the application activation timestamp as a cache buster parameter. Images used in the Neptune Launchpad will get the launchpad save timestamp as cache buster parameter. It would be better to read the individual image file change timestamp, but we do not know where all the images might be used by developers in different applications. Much easier to just save the launchpad to force reloading of all images. So now the times where you would have to ask the end-users to clear cache should be gone! https://www.neptune-software.com/free...
