If you've ever asked yourself 'what is an advent calendar' then let me explain. An advent calendar traditionally celebrated the Advent season which is the anticipation in the Christian faith of the birth or nativity of Jesus on Christmas day. It usually stars anywhere between the end of November and beginning of December. However, all secular Advent calendars like the 4 Christmas Advent calendars we are sharing here at Jabulani's Playhouse start on December 1st and run for 24 days up to Christmas Eve. On each date of December you open a correspondingly numbered door for a toy behind it. So on December 1st you open door number one or the way through December 24th when you open the last door numbered 24.
