In Victoria, British Columbia Premier John Horgan and provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry outline the next steps of the province’s plan for the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. They announce that the province is entering its second phase of vaccination, allowing seniors over 90 to begin receiving vaccines starting March 15, people over 85 starting March 22, followed by anyone over 80 and Indigenous persons over the age of 65 starting March 27. Dr. Henry also says that the province will extend the delay between the administration of the first and second doses of the vaccine from 42 to 112 days. . They are joined by Health Minister Adrian Dix and Dr. Penny Ballem, the executive lead of the B.C. immunization rollout team.
