This remix was inspired by a minute-long segment of Down With the Fallen that I found randomly bolted onto the ending of an unrelated Starset remix (Maniac Agenda's "Let it Die"), which actually made it into an official special edition of the album the original song belonged to. It's a soft, ethereal rendition of Down with the Fallen's opening, which I've been unable to find any information about. As far as I know a full version does not exist, and so I went, 'well, we shan't be having that', and made one myself. And so, roughly nine months of on-and-off tinkering later, and after pushing the renowned musical powerhouse that is Garageband for iPhone to within an inch of its life, I present to you, Down with the fallen but it's all floaty and soft! Some inspiration was taken from the early version of the song Downplay was working on (basically proto-Starset), as well as from concert recordings. Namely, the extra melody during the bridge is actually extra lyrics in the Downplay version of the song, and the embellishments to the final chorus are based on improvisations from live performances. Remix that inspired this: • Starset - Let It Die (The Maniac Agenda Re... Early version of the song (warning: music video is incredibly... odd): • Downplay - Down with the fallen
