The Apostles and Suffering: Answering Paulogia's Skepticism

Paulogia questions how strong the evidence is for the suffering and deaths of the apostles, even if we assume that the book of Acts is historically accurate. He points out that we have limited information about their suffering, mostly just about Peter, John, and later, Paul. We don’t know much about what happened to other apostles like Simon the Zealot, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thaddeus, Thomas, and more. It’s like they disappeared from pages of reliable history, so we’re not sure about the dangers they might have faced or what risks they really took. Paulogia also questions the way the term “apostle” is used in Acts. Was it a quite flexible title? I'll try my best to answer these questions and more in this stream. 0:00 Why am I discussing this? 04:12 Paulogia's doubts 09:19 Jesus was crucified 10:58 Jesus' persecution warnings 15:24 NT epistles 27:57 The witness of Acts 42:38 John on Peter 44:30 Apostolic Fathers 52:06 Conclusion Lydia McGrew, Does Acts Support the Trilemma?    • Does Acts Support the Trilemma 1   Are you a Christian struggling with doubts?
