A flip-through of my second steampunk junk journal - finished! I honestly love to create in the steampunk theme! The journal is created with a recycled book and has an elaborate raised mixed media clock cover with the title “Moments”. It is painted with acrylic paints to resemble metal, with gold highlights. I have made a simple elastic and button closure to hold all the loose papers. The cover size is 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches with a 1-inch spine. There are three hand-sewn signatures of various blank and lined papers, including many hand-dyed papers and many vintage papers - 112 pages total. There is lots of writing room, yet it’s also richly decorated with artistic elements and handmade embellishments. Pretty antique lace peeks out the side. The tones in this journal are a lovely mix of vintage rust, brown and black, with touches of turquoise. The designer papers and book pages fit the theme of steampunk. The 18 pockets and tuck spots hold 37 pieces of vintage and handmade ephemera. Thanks always for your great support of my channel- especially for the likes and comments!
