Miracle escape for Space Station astronauts after rocket failure

American Nick Hague and Russian Aleksey Ovchinin were forced to return to Earth and landed in Kazakhstan when the booster malfunctioned during stage-one separation on their Soyuz rocket at approximately 50km (164,000ft) above the Earth. Video footage from the launch at the Baikonur Cosmodrome shows a large puff of smoke coming from the rocket at the moment it failed and footage from inside the capsule shows the two astronauts being violently shaken about.
