Pope 'greatly interested' in peace on Korean peninsula: S. Korea's Vatican envoy

김희중 특사 "남북 화해 위한 역할 부탁... 교황, 새 정부에 관심" Special presidential envoy to the Vatican..., Archbishop Kim Hee-joong,... returned to Korea on Saturday after meeting Pope Francis. During the seven-day trip, he delivered a letter from President Moon Jae-in... and asked for support and prayers for peace and reconciliation between the two Koreas. The pontif told the envoy.. he knows about the situation in the Korean peninsula... and stressed... dialogue and negotitation have to come before force. Kim explained his visit to the city was to secure South Korea's national interest... and added he is more or less satisfied with the results.
