Could Boris Johnson survive a 2021 Christmas UK lockdown? | Covid 19

With the Omnicron Covid variant having been discovered in Europe, concerns around Covid 19 are growing, many are considering the likelihood of UK covid restrictions, such as lockdowns being reintroduced. With this in mind we ask the question, Could Prime Minister Boris Johnson survive another Christmas lockdown? November 2021 saw Covid cases across Europe surge once more. Sharp rises in Austria, the Netherlands and Germany have made some reintroduce restrictions. In Britain cases are up too, and the damage is being most felt in the average wait for an ambulance, the highest this October since records began. The Prime Minister has refused to rule out a new national lockdown this winter. Christmas could, in essence, be cancelled again.
