The UK's biggest ever modern slavery prosecution has seen five men and three women from Poland all jailed, where the victims were those Polish people they could exploit and gave them very little and took most of the money living a lavish lifestyle whilst they worked. 19 of their victims gave evidence but its thought there could have been 400 or even more victims who were abused over five years. It's also the biggest such case in Europe at this time and the judge has said modern day slavery is all around us today and for people to look out for such victims, as this case was raised by soup kitchen workers as victims kept coming back to with tell-tale signs and they then alerted police. Shame it took so long and with so many victims. For more, see here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48736957
