5 new COVID-19 cases in schools are not a cluster

Speaking at a press briefing on 7 June 2020, Minister for Education, Ong Ye Kung shared that 4 students and 1 non-teaching staff tested positive for COVID-19. He emphasised that these cases come from 5 different schools, which is a clear indication that it is not a cluster. He also urged everyone, especially those in the school environment, to exercise personal responsibility and do not go to school if they or their family members are sick.
