S. Korean businesses to start paying back wages to Kaesong workers 개성공단 입주기업,

South Korean firms will backpay wages for March and April to North Korean workers at the joint industrial park in Kaesong starting today. This will be followed by talks to resolve the long-running dispute over a pay hike. Under an agreement between the two Koreas, reached last Friday, South Korean companies at the complex will pay the wages at the original rate of just over 70 U.S. dollars… by the end of the month. Seoul′s unification ministry says the two Koreas will meet again to discuss the North′s demand for a wage increase to 74 U.S. dollars a month.
