Barnabas of the Precious Blood discusses growth in virtue through the life of true freedom in a well formed conscience guided by natural or divine law. Such virtue perfect the will and so makes the bearer good. Yet the will may be darkened by ignorance, passion, error and other enemies making it difficult for an individual to see the truth and grow in virtue. Absence of growth in virtue is a choice made in freedom; we are judged according to our choice. Follow this lesson to the end and be fulfilled.
