Queen- Live in Liverpool, 11/1/1974

The Sheer Heart Attack Tour moves on! This is only the third night on the tour, at the Empire Theater in Liverpool. Unfortunately the quality is very rough, I fixed the pitch (ran semitone slow), speed (ran 5% too slow), and brought out lows and highs on EQ, but it still sounds muffled and digitally processed. Also, it's very incomplete (Begins with "Flick Of The Wrist" and is also missing "In The Lap Of The Gods", "Liar", "Stone Cold Crazy", "In The Lap Of The Gods... Revisited", and "Jailhouse Rock"). However, there are positives. Aside from the solid musicmanship, Freddie's voice is in great shape, being so early in the tour, and sings very strongly. "Flick Of The Wrist" has Freddie messing up the words in the first verse, but makes up for it by singing the rest well and hitting A4s on both "Taking an ARM" lines, "Killer Queen" is excellent, very close to the studio with Freddie nailing the A4 on "Recommended", "The March Of The Black Queen" is good, though Freddie falls flat on the third A4, "Bring Back That Leroy Brown" is strong, "Son And Daughter" sounds good with an excellent guitar solo, "Keep Yourself Alive" is very good with Freddie embellishing on "Rode a million MILES", and Roger doing a nice solo, "Seven Seas Of Rhye" is the all-time best version as Freddie nails all the key A4s and even hits the chorus falsetto F#5, "Big Spender" is cut, but what we have has Freddie acing the A4, and "Modern Times Rock And Roll" is a strong version with lots of energy! ENJOY!
