'88 Toyota Pickup 22R missing an RPM gauge, installed a Equus 6086 tachometer from Autozone. The installation isn't that bad. There are 4 wires to connect. Wires: 0:48 🟢 Green → SR5 plug connection 1:17 ⚫ Black → Ground 1:23 ⚪ White → Back-light [optional] 1:35 🔴 Red → Power/Ignition Detection Find Equus 6086 Tachometer : google.com/search?q=Equus+6086 Installing the White and Red wires can be tricky. I connected my white wire [1:23] to the CIG fuse on the drivers side, under the dash. The red wire [1:35] I strung over to the radio and attached it to the Ignition Switch wire. The black wire [1:17] (ground) and green wire [0:48] (sr5 connection) are straight forward. The ground needs to attach to any metal/conducting material and must be secure. The green gets threaded through a hole in the firewall under the dash and into the engine compartment. From there its as simple and plugging it into the SR5 plug. #22R #toyotapickup #powersteering#howto #tachometer #install Engine: 22R - Stock Aisin Carburator Vehicle: '88 Toyota Pickup - 2WD Website: isaacdozier.com
