How to Convert Windows 10 Chinese to English on Mi Notebook Pro (Part3) Here in this video, I will show you how to convert Windows 10 64bit Home Chinese to English legally. I have successfully converted from chinese to english, I hope this will work for you as well. This tutorial will work on Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, Before we start the conversion, we need to ensure that you are ready with the following things needed to convert Windows 10 Chinese to English on Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro: 8GB USB Flash Drive Windows 10 Home 64bit Installer Optional - Download Mi Notebook Drivers Optional - Extract Your Original Product Key Step 1: Get your product key via the ff, Press Win Key, type in CMD, then right click to Run Command Prompt with adminstrator rights. input the ff command without the quotes "wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey" another option is to download windows product key extractor such as produckey or Belarc advisor. As for me i didnt really have to input this key during the installation, but it is good to have it handy just in case its needed. Step 2: Go to the microsoft webiste to download the windows 10 iso file in the link. Download the Media Tool. Create an usb media I will show you a step by step how to do it. you can use your mi notebook, but you might have to navigate in the chinese version of the microsoft app. but generally it should be the same. be sure also to use a computer that is running 64bit when you download the iso to ensure that the installer is also 64bit. and Also select in the edition field, WINDOWS 10 Home 64 bit. Step 3: Optional, go to this link to download the notebook pro drivers. i didnt get to use this but just in case you dont have internet connection once you finished installing for automatic update, you can use these drivers. https://techtablets.com/xiaomi-mi-not... ------ Part two Video Step 4: once you got it all ready, its time to plug in your usb and boot from it. you have to restart your notebook and tweak some settings in the bios for the usb to boot. i will show this in part 2 of the video, since i will have to record this separately. Reboot your Laptop, keep pressing F2 when you turn on the Laptop. And then click the Boot. You will see three option on the screen: Boot Type, USB Boot and Boot Devices Order. Click on Boot Devices Order. Drag up to load the Flash Drive First. Press F10 and save settings. After the steps above, your Mi Notebook Pro will now boot to the Flash Drive and load Windows 10 Installer. When it is ready, click Install Now. When ‘Activate Windows’ screen appear. Select I don’t have product key. You will see “Select the operating system you want to install. Choose Windows 10 Home 64bit (x64). Now, you will see Applicable notices and license terms. Check the “I agree” then click “Next.” You will be asked about which type of installation do you want. Click on Customize, then choose where do you want to install Windows. Click on the drive with the biggest storage and click format for clean installation. You will be asked to confirm about your action that will erase all data stored on the partition you chose click OK to continue. Choose the partition to install the Windows, then click Next. Now it should be Installing Windows. Once you reboot, just follow the onscreen prompts. Continue with “Let’s get connected” where you need to pick a network and go online to finish setting up the device. You will see “Get going fast” on the screen. click on Use Express settings. “Make it yours” will be on the screen now. Enter your email or phone number, then type in the password as well. Continue with “create an account for this PC” You will see “Meet Cortana” on the screen now. Click on “Use Cortana” Now your screen will say “Getting things ready, please don’t turn off your PC.” Finally, it is ready for you to start. ----- Part 3 video Once you are done, and in your desktop screen, click on Start, type in "activation" to see if your windows is already activated with digital license. if you must, you can also input your windows 10 key you have extracted before you reformatted it. for my experience, i did not need to input it, upon connecting to internet, the OS activated itself. Step 5. Once finished, connect to the internet, run the update, and let windows update on its own. the drivers should be picked up by windows. YOu can also load the OEM Configurator, in case you want to have a MI Logo in your computer. Step 6. Done. you can now install your favorite apps or programs.
