Today is another episode of Ro's Tips For Healthy Living! The topic for today is the glycemic index. Basically, the glycemic index of a food tells you how quickly the carbohydrates in the food affect your blood sugar. Glycemic Index Range: Low - 55 and lower Moderate between - 56-69 High - 70 and above BUT, for someone who is prediabetic or diabetic, they need to stick to a glycemic index that is under 50. The lower the glycemic index, the slower the rise in blood sugar, and the higher the glycemic index, the faster the blood sugar rises. Why are you struggling with your blood sugar?
