ICELAND 64cm BROWN TROUT RELEASE 2015

(in Finnish) "Really nice sound", (in English) "Go breed!", (in Icelandic) "Iceland!". Late August 2015 in Northern Iceland. After blanking one and a half days in horrible weather conditions we hooked ten (and landed nine) trophy sized wild brownies in three hours. We were fishing the Laxaldalur beat of Laxa. All fish were caught by upstream nymphing. Mad stuff: 66cm, 64cm (released here), 61cm, 60cm, 60cm, 60cm, 58cm, 55cm & 55cm fish were all released in excellent condition. Rods used: 5WF & 6WF.
