Protests erupted in Kansas City, Missouri, in the wake of a shooting of a 16-year-old Black male student by a white man. Yarl survived after being shot twice, in the left forehead and right arm, Thursday evening. The shooting has sparked national outrage, with protests from Vice President Kamala Harris and a number of celebrities. Andrew Lester was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
