Drum Solo on Great Slingerland Drums-Ken Loomer Big Band

Amazing now that I have had these great Slingerland Buddy Rich model drums now for 50 years. I bought them in 1970 and no way would I thought I would be playing them with my own Ken Loomer Big Band. For me these Slingerland drums are the best sounding and best made drums I have ever played on. I`m using the big 14x24 inch bass drum,9x13 inch tom,two 16x16 inch floor toms,and the great and rare now 4x14 inch BR model snare drum. All shells are the 3 ply maple,poplar,maple with the solid maple re-enforcing rings. Just a big fat open warn tone out of these shells,plus that bass drum has that huge punch that projects so well.In this type of open drum solo that drummers like Buddy Rich,Dave Weckl,Louie Bellson,Steve Smith,Gene Krupa,John Bonham,Jeff Hamilton do so well,I just play new idea`s that I have and making sure it has a good flow to my solo.
